OTPless Appoints Former BharatPe Executive Geetanshu Singla as CTO

Identity and access management startup OTPless has appointed Geetanshu Singla, a former executive from fintech firm BharatPe, as its new chief technology officer (CTO). Singla assumes the CTO role approximately ten months after Anubhav Mathur departed the position in January.

Singla previously served as head of engineering at BharatPe. OTPless co-founders Bhavik Koladiya, Satyam Nathani, and Tanmay Sagar were also founding members at BharatPe. Singla left BharatPe in 2023 and subsequently co-founded GenWise, a lifestyle app for senior citizens, which eventually ceased operations.

The appointment follows a period of significant leadership changes at OTPless. Last month, co-founder Bhavik Koladiya stepped down as CEO, with Nathani taking over the role. Sagar was simultaneously named the company's chief operating officer (COO), and Manas Poddar was promoted to chief business officer (CBO).

Founded in 2021, OTPless provides authentication services via SDKs and APIs to consumer internet enterprises. The company aims to reduce reliance on one-time passwords (OTPs) and passwords, enhance user verification, and prevent fraud. OTPless claims to have authenticated over 300 million mobile users and serves clients including Meesho, PhysicsWallah, and Zepto. Its annualized revenue stands at approximately $36 million (₹36 crore), and it has been profitable for the past two quarters. The Indian identity and access management market is projected to reach $1.7 billion by 2030.
