The company stated that a faulty packaging process may have resulted in the packaging containing the incorrect product, specifically 10 mEq Potassium Chloride Injection.

The potential risk arises if patients prescribed sodium chloride receive potassium chloride instead. Conversely, patients requiring potassium chloride might receive sodium chloride, potentially resulting in an insufficient rise in potassium levels.
