Otto Christ AG presents Vitesse concept for car washes
Otto Christ AG has introduced the Vitesse high-pressure washing concept, claiming to reduce washing times by up to 20% and increase washing capacity.

German car wash equipment manufacturer Otto Christ AG has developed the Vitesse high-pressure washing concept, aiming to enhance the efficiency of car wash operations. The system integrates high-pressure washing, active foam application, and brush washing onto a single washing gantry, reportedly reducing vehicle throughput time by up to 20%.
Compared to traditional washing systems, Vitesse reduces the number of required washing gantries by two. This modification aims to address the car wash industry's demand for faster and more efficient washing processes, particularly during peak hours. The company states the concept allows for up to two additional washes per hour.
According to Christ AG, the Vitesse concept incurs an additional cost of only 2–5% of the total investment but can increase washing capacity by over 20%. The company highlights the system's cost-effectiveness, providing examples of potential additional revenue based on increased wash volumes.
The Vitesse concept's high-pressure columns feature four oscillating spot jet nozzles powered by a sealed electric motor. The company claims this ensures 100% of the high-pressure energy is transferred to the vehicle without loss.
Christ AG has offered the Vitesse concept since 2012, and it has evolved from a special equipment option to a sought-after standard product. The company markets the solution to car wash operators seeking to improve their operational efficiency and capacity.
