Otto Christ AG unveils FLUX touchless wash system at Automechanika

Otto Christ AG is showcasing its new FLUX portal wash system at the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt. The system offers a touchless cleaning method that eliminates mechanical brush contact, serving as an alternative for customers who prefer manual high-pressure washing or wish to avoid brush-based friction.

The cleaning process involves a multi-stage chemical application, utilizing both alkaline and acidic agents to break down environmental debris such as insect residue and brake dust. This is followed by a 70-bar high-pressure wash cycle. The system includes the 'FOAM SPLASH' feature for rapid foam coverage and an osmosis-based rinse system intended to prevent water spotting.

The design of the FLUX unit aligns with the existing visual identity of the company's other product lines, such as the CADIS and VEGA series. The manufacturer suggests that the system is intended to help operators expand their service portfolios, particularly in markets where sand or grit makes brush washing less desirable.

The FLUX system is available for industry viewing at the Automechanika event in Frankfurt, which runs from September 10 to September 14, 2024.
