Outokumpu Issues Datasheet for Stainless Steel Range

Outokumpu Oyj, a producer of stainless steel, has issued a new datasheet detailing its Moda product range.

The Moda series includes stainless steels designed for applications in mildly corrosive environments, with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent (PRE) value of up to 17. The range features established grades such as Moda 430/4016 alongside alternative and low-chromium options.

The datasheet provides comprehensive information on the steels' chemical compositions, mechanical properties including yield strength and elongation, and corrosion resistance. For example, Moda 439/4510 offers improved corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability compared to Moda 430/4016.

Products are available in various forms, including cold and hot-rolled coils and sheets, and precision strip. Applications range from kitchen equipment and household appliances to automotive exhaust systems and equipment for the sugar industry.
