Helsinki – Outokumpu Oyj, a global stainless steel producer, has released a new datasheet detailing its Supra product range. These steels are specifically engineered for applications exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

The Supra series includes a variety of austenitic stainless steels, with Supra 316/4401 and Supra 316L/4404 being commonly utilized. The range also offers specialized grades with enhanced strength from nitrogen additions, reduced nickel content for improved work hardening, or higher nickel content for deep drawing or cryogenic applications. Titanium-stabilized versions are available to boost corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures.

A ferritic, nickel-free alternative, Supra 444/4521, is also part of the offering. This grade provides good corrosion resistance and excellent deep drawability. The various steel grades are available in multiple product forms, including cold and hot rolled coil and sheet, quarto plate, and precision strip.

These stainless steels find applications across diverse sectors such as the chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Specific uses also extend to heat exchangers, piping systems, and process tanks.
