Outokumpu stainless steel featured in five landmark building facades
Steel company Outokumpu Oyj reports its stainless steel has been used in the facades of five notable buildings globally. The material's durability and aesthetic qualities are highlighted.

Outokumpu Oyj, a prominent steel producer, has supplied stainless steel for the construction of facades on several significant global landmarks. The company emphasizes the material's suitability for structures requiring long-term durability and sustained visual appeal.
Notable projects utilizing Outokumpu's stainless steel include the One World Trade Center in New York City, 5 Broadgate in London, and the Ping An Finance Center in Shenzhen. In these applications, the material offers benefits such as corrosion resistance, design versatility, and light-reflecting properties.
The One World Trade Center's facade incorporates 175 tonnes of Outokumpu's Supra 316L stainless steel with a Deco Laser finish. London's 5 Broadgate, the UBS headquarters, utilizes 500 tonnes of stainless steel with a Deco Linen finish. The Ping An Finance Center features approximately 1,700 tonnes of stainless steel.
The choice of stainless steel is attributed to its longevity and recyclability. Outokumpu highlights that its stainless steel facades are environmentally responsible options, often containing substantial recycled content and being fully recyclable at the end of their lifecycle.
