Shanghai is in the final countdown to hosting the 2026 World AI Conference (WAIC) & High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, one of the world's largest events dedicated to artificial intelligence. The conference is set to unveil more than 300 AI products making their global debuts among over 3,000 exhibits from more than 1,100 companies.

The event, themed "Intelligent Partners, Co-create the Future," will highlight practical applications of AI, moving beyond theoretical concepts to real-world integration. On Thursday, 29 countries signed an agreement in Shanghai to establish the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), an independent intergovernmental body headquartered in the city, aiming to foster international cooperation and governance for AI's beneficial, safe, and fair development.

Attendees can expect to see AI integrated into daily life, work, and entertainment, with a focus on its role as a new productive force. Many application-driven exhibits will showcase AI's impact on sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, education, and elder care. This shift underscores AI's transition from industrial machinery to intelligent companions.

Among the notable product debuts is AGILINK's OmniHand 3 Ultra-M, a dexterous robotic hand designed for precise manipulation, which will perform a unique bimanual balloon-dog folding demonstration. Agibot and JD Logistics will launch the Genie G2 Max, an embodied intelligent robot with substantial payload capacity for logistic tasks, capable of 24/7 operation. SenseTime will present its SenseMart Go retail solution, featuring humanoid robots managing store operations.

Further displays include MiniMax's M3 multimodal model, engineered for extensive context processing, and BrainCo's platform for brain-controlled robotics research. Huawei is also expected to debut its Atlas 950, described as the industry's largest commercial supernode, signifying advancements in AI computing infrastructure.
