Swedish renewable energy company OX2 has completed the sale of a 77 megawatt (MW) wind farm in Romania to Norwegian firm Scatec ASA. The project, named Urleasca, is located in the southeastern part of Romania.

The wind farm will be equipped with 11 Nordex N175/6.X MW turbines. Scatec ASA acquires the project, which has secured a long-term Contract-for-Difference (CfD) with the Romanian State.

OX2 is contracted to manage the entire construction phase. Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning anticipated in the second half of 2028.

Upon completion, the Urleasca wind farm is projected to generate approximately 244 GWh (gigawatt-hours) of electricity annually. This output is sufficient to power around 71,000 households and will contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
