Palantir US commercial revenue surpasses government contracts for first time
Palantir Technologies exceeded third-quarter earnings expectations as demand for artificial intelligence tools fueled significant growth in its commercial segment.

Palantir Technologies outperformed Wall Street expectations for the third quarter of 2026, reporting revenue of $2.31 billion against an estimated $2.18 billion. Net income reached $1.13 billion, representing a significant increase from the $476 million reported in the same period last year.
The quarter marked a strategic shift for the company, as U.S. commercial revenue grew by 148% to reach $984 million, successfully surpassing U.S. government revenue of $953 million for the first time. This reflects a broader trend of private enterprises adopting the company's artificial intelligence platforms.
Following these results, Palantir has raised its full-year guidance for U.S. commercial revenue to over $3.56 billion. CEO Alex Karp, who recently participated in White House discussions regarding industry regulation, continues to emphasize the importance of data sovereignty as the company scales its commercial footprint.
