Charleston, SC – Palmetto Publishing has released "After the Storm: The Power of Push and Pull," a new children's picture book by educator and author Betty Faye Nugent. The book is the latest in Nugent's "Backyard Adventures" series, designed to introduce young readers to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts through storytelling, teamwork, and spiritual reflection.
The narrative follows four children – Lina, Jackson, Maya, and Sam – as they explore force and motion in a backyard after a storm. The group begins cleaning up fallen branches and debris, turning the task into a hands-on lesson in physics as they encounter principles of pushing, pulling, and moving objects.
