Panasonic releases eneloop charger with USB-C input

Panasonic has introduced its first eneloop Ni-MH rechargeable battery charger that utilizes a USB-C input port. The new BQ-CCE5 model allows users to recharge their eneloop batteries using standard smartphone charging equipment, enhancing convenience.

The charger also ranks among the fastest in Panasonic's eneloop charger lineup. It is capable of fully charging two standard AA-sized eneloop batteries in just 1.5 hours. This significantly reduces the waiting time to get batteries ready for use.

The BQ-CCE5 supports battery identification, controlling the charging process based on the battery's condition. It offers features such as remaining charge detection, battery replacement timing diagnosis, and identification of non-rechargeable dry cell batteries. The charger can also detect batteries that are not designed for recharging.

The USB-C input provides standardization with charging cables for other electronic devices, reducing the need for multiple chargers and cables. The product is aimed at consumers who frequently use rechargeable batteries and value quick and easy charging solutions.
