Pancreatic tumor liquefies and drains after experimental vaccine
A case report documents a significant reduction in pancreatic tumor size and drainage following treatment with an experimental intratumoral vaccine. The patient had not responded to chemotherapy.

The patient's pancreatic cancer had not responded to standard gemcitabine chemotherapy. After receiving the experimental intratumoral EpCAM/CD3 vaccine, a 90% reduction in tumor size and widespread necrosis were observed. The tumor also liquefied and began to drain from the body over several months.
ICCA CancerCare's vaccine aims to stimulate the immune system's T-cells to attack cancer cells expressing the EpCAM protein. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive forms, with historically poor treatment outcomes. Novel treatment modalities are therefore of significant importance.
"This is the first time a pancreatic tumor has been documented to liquefy and drain following an intratumoral vaccine treatment," stated Dr. Antonio Jimeno, Chief Medical Officer at ICCA CancerCare. He cautioned, however, that this is a single case, and further research is needed to confirm the vaccine's efficacy and safety in a larger patient cohort.
The case report appeared in a peer-reviewed medical publication. While the results are preliminary, they provide new hope for pancreatic cancer treatment and support the potential of intratumoral vaccines in cancer therapy. Further studies are underway.
