Game developer Paradox Interactive has released a new chronicle pack for its strategy title, Europa Universalis V. The update, titled Across the Pillars, adds historical content centered on the late medieval power dynamics of the Iberian Peninsula.
Set during a period of shifting territorial control, the expansion allows players to navigate the conflict between the Kingdom of Castile and remaining regional powers near the Strait of Gibraltar. The content aims to provide historical flavor to the strategic challenges of controlling this maritime gateway.
This release is part of the studio’s ongoing support for its flagship strategy franchises. The content pack is available for purchase on major digital distribution platforms starting October 28, 2026.
