Paralyzed Veterans of America Launches Podcast for Veterans with Spinal Cord Injuries

Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) has introduced a new audio program titled "Voices of PVA." The podcast aims to inform, empower, and connect veterans and individuals living with spinal cord injuries or diseases (SCI/D), such as MS and ALS, along with their supporters.

The program delves into various aspects of life impacted by SCI/D, including healthcare challenges, legislative achievements, and adaptive sports. Hosted by U.S. Navy SEAL veteran and Paralympian Al Kovach, alongside PVA reporter Chad Stewart, each episode features guests with personal connections to paralysis, ranging from veteran athletes and policymakers to caregivers and researchers.

Carl Blake, CEO of PVA, stated that the "Voices of PVA" podcast extends the organization's commitment to ensuring veterans with spinal cord injuries receive reliable information and feel heard. He emphasized that the podcast creates a space where lived experiences, expert insights, and advocacy intersect in a deeply human and impactful manner.

The initial season will comprise 24 episodes, with new installments released bi-weekly. The podcast offers practical insights and fosters a deeper connection to important issues for both newcomers to the SCI/D community and long-term advocates. PVA hopes listeners will gain useful knowledge, feel inspired, and experience a greater sense of community connection.
