Paramount and Warner Bros. to Operate Under Skydance Name

Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery are set to operate under the Skydance Media banner once their proposed merger is finalized. Paramount CEO David Ellison confirmed the development.
The transaction, valued at an estimated $110 billion, is expected to combine streaming services Paramount+ and HBO Max, along with television networks including CBS and CNN. The Paramount and Warner Bros. brands are anticipated to remain under the new corporate identity.
This deal follows earlier discussions where Warner Bros. Discovery engaged in talks with Netflix, though no acquisition agreement was reached. A legal hurdle was cleared on September 30 when a judge approved a settlement in an antitrust case brought by 12 U.S. states, removing an obstacle to closing the deal.
