Paramount Pictures Considers Elon Musk for Investment
Paramount Pictures is reportedly in discussions to invite Elon Musk to join an investment consortium to bolster the studio's financial standing. The talks are in early stages.

Paramount Pictures is exploring the possibility of bringing in Elon Musk as a potential investor. According to Semafor, citing sources familiar with the matter, executives at the Hollywood studio have discussed inviting the world's wealthiest individual to participate in an equity investment group.
This potential move is reportedly influenced by Musk's close ties with David Ellison, Paramount's CEO, and his father, Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle. Larry Ellison has previously provided substantial financial backing to Paramount, including a guarantee of over $40 billion for the studio's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
Musk and Larry Ellison have a history of collaboration. Ellison invested $1 billion in Musk's company X (formerly Twitter) during its privatization in 2022. He has also invested in Tesla and served on its board for several years.
The studio is seeking to strengthen its financial position, and exploring new funding avenues is part of this strategy. A potential investment from Musk or an entity he represents could provide significant financial support for Paramount Pictures.
Paramount Pictures declined to comment on the matter, and Musk did not respond to requests for comment. The specifics of any potential investment amount remain undisclosed.
