Paramount Pictures to Produce Cyberpunk 2077 Film

Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to produce a live-action film based on CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 video game franchise. The studio announced the development, partnering with the game's creator.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, known for producing the Transformers film series, is set to produce the Cyberpunk movie. Specific details regarding the film's release date or casting have not yet been disclosed.

"We're excited about Paramount as a future partner who shares our creative ambitions for the Cyberpunk franchise," said CD Projekt Red joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski. "We look forward to sharing more details at the appropriate time."

Cyberpunk 2077, which experienced a challenging launch in 2020, has since undergone significant updates and received an expansion pack.
