Parkdale Mills Acquires Full Ownership of CiCLO® Technology
Parkdale Mills' subsidiary has acquired full ownership of CiCLO® technology, designed to reduce the persistence of microplastic fibers from synthetic textiles. The acquisition expands the company's polymer and fiber portfolio.

Gastonia, NC – Parkdale, Incorporated announced that its subsidiary, Parkdale Advanced Materials, Inc., has acquired full ownership of CiCLO® technology. This move expands Parkdale's polymer and fiber portfolio and its capacity to develop next-generation solutions for the textile industry and related markets.
CiCLO technology is a biodegradable textile ingredient designed to reduce the persistence of microplastic fibers from synthetic textiles in the environment. The patented technology is integrated into polyester and nylon during fiber manufacturing, creating pathways that allow naturally occurring microorganisms to mineralize the polymer in biologically active environments.
The acquisition is expected to build on CiCLO technology's current use in apparel and home textiles, expanding its adoption into adjacent markets. These include nonwovens for industrial and hygiene products, geotextiles, filtration, insulation, and furnishings, among other applications that rely on synthetic fibers.
"We are committed to investing in technologies that create value for our customers and address meaningful challenges for our industry and the environment," said Davis Warlick, chief operating officer of Parkdale. "We believe CiCLO fibers have the potential to address microplastic fiber persistence at a meaningful scale."
