Partial outages for e-prescription and electronic patient record
The Telematics Infrastructure (TI) experienced partial disruptions on Wednesday morning, affecting services like e-prescriptions and electronic patient records. T-Systems cited an outage in one of its data centers as the cause.

Partial disruptions within the Telematics Infrastructure (TI) began on Wednesday morning at 9:25 AM, impacting key digital health services. Gematik, the German agency for health IT, reported the issues through its TI disruption portal. T-Systems, a service provider within the infrastructure, identified the cause as an outage in one of its data centers.
The disruptions affected several critical applications, including the electronic patient record (ePA) and the electronic certificate of incapacity for work (eAU). Furthermore, the insured data management system, crucial for functions like processing e-prescriptions at pharmacies, was also impacted.
Communication via the KIM (Kommunikation im Medizinwesen) e-mail service, a vital channel for medical practices, pharmacies, and care facilities, was also impaired. T-Systems stated it was working to resolve the issue and apologized for the inconvenience.
Around 11:00 AM, Gematik reported that the disruption was largely resolved. However, login issues for AOK's electronic patient record persisted. By 12:00 PM, the company indicated that "technical redundancy mechanisms" had been activated.
