Pascal Reddig Elected Chairman of the Young Group
The Young Group of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group elected Pascal Reddig as its new chairman. The group aims to represent the perspectives of younger generations within the party.

Pascal Reddig has been elected the new chairman of the Young Group within the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. The election took place during the group's constitutive meeting on Tuesday, where Reddig, representing Hesse, was unanimously chosen.
The group emphasizes its role in advocating for the views of younger generations within the party. "Our duty is to ensure that today's political decisions do not come at the expense of tomorrow's generations," Reddig stated following his election. He stressed that future coalition negotiations must send a clear signal to the young generation and the country's future.
Dr. Konrad Körner, a CSU representative, was elected as the first deputy chairman. Catarina dos Santos-Wintz and Anna Aeikens were also elected as deputy chairmen. The group intends to act as a driving force and a critical voice, particularly concerning intergenerational equity, reflecting on recent political compromises.
The Young Group comprises all CDU/CSU parliamentary members who are under 35 years of age at the commencement of a legislative period. Currently, the group has 18 members. Its agenda focuses on promoting sustainable, generationally equitable, and future-oriented policies.
