Pasqal Appoints Former HPE Executive as Chief Commercial Officer
Quantum computing company Pasqal announced the appointment of Mark Armstrong, former Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) leader, as its Chief Commercial Officer for EMEA and APAC regions.
Pasqal, a company specializing in neutral-atom quantum computing, has appointed Mark Armstrong as its Chief Commercial Officer for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. Armstrong previously led High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI sales for EMEA at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
The appointment coincides with Pasqal's efforts to scale its quantum computing solutions commercially. The company currently has seven systems operational across four countries, with accessibility offered both on-premises and via cloud platforms like Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
In his new role, Armstrong will focus on driving Pasqal's commercial strategy and expanding its customer base in key sectors such as energy, financial services, and advanced materials. His background in scaling advanced computing businesses at HPE is expected to accelerate the enterprise deployment of Pasqal's technology.

Pasqal, founded in 2019, utilizes Nobel Prize-winning research in neutral-atom technology to build quantum systems for complex challenges in optimization, simulation, and artificial intelligence. The company has secured significant private funding and is preparing for a Nasdaq listing.
