An Israeli passenger on FlyDubai flight FZ1073 assisted in stabilizing the aircraft after the co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain and attempted to crash the plane. The incident occurred on September 30, involving a Boeing 737 MAX en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

During the event, the co-pilot reportedly stabbed the captain, causing the aircraft to descend rapidly. Passenger Yaniv Hayoun and others entered the cockpit to subdue the attacker. Hayoun then manipulated the aircraft's controls, helping to bring it out of a dive.

Hayoun later told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that his knowledge of how to operate the controls came from watching the television documentary series "Air Crash Investigation," which details real-life aviation accidents.

Two off-duty pilots on board eventually took over the aircraft and safely landed it in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Out of the 174 people on board, only the captain sustained injuries, and the co-pilot was arrested. The specific reasons for the co-pilot's actions are under investigation.
