Patria and Finnish Defence Forces Renew Strategic Partnership
Defence company Patria has renewed its strategic partnership agreement with the Finnish Defence Forces. The agreement ensures the operational readiness of military equipment throughout its lifecycle in all security situations.
Helsinki – Patria, a defence and technology company, has renewed its strategic partnership agreement with the Finnish Defence Forces. The collaboration between the state-owned Patria and the Defence Forces has a history spanning over a century.
The renewed agreement covers the lifecycle support for military aviation equipment, naval defence systems, and command systems used by the Finnish Defence Forces. The objective is to ensure the equipment's operational capability across various readiness levels, encompassing both peacetime and exceptional circumstances.
Patria's President and CEO, Esa Rautalinko, emphasized the company's commitment to long-term operational readiness. A new component of the agreement is a technology partnership, designed to foster the development of new capabilities in close cooperation with the Defence Forces.
Major General Tero Ylitalo, Chief of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command, stated that the agreement supports operational continuity in a changing security environment. A strategic partnership signifies the deepest level of cooperation between the Defence Forces and a service provider, aimed at securing critical functions over the long term.
