Patria Establishes New CEO Office Led by Petri Vihervuori

Defense and technology company Patria is strengthening its strategic growth by establishing a new CEO Office. Petri Vihervuori, currently Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, has been appointed to lead the unit and will become a member of the Group Management Team. The appointment takes effect on September 1, 2026, with Vihervuori reporting directly to Patria's President and CEO, Panu Routila.

The new CEO Office will combine Group Communications and Governmental Affairs functions, including the coordination of EU and NATO relationships. The establishment of this unit is a targeted measure to further enhance strategic steering in close collaboration with the President and CEO and the management team.

Vihervuori brings over 20 years of experience in corporate functions and has spent more than a decade in the defense sector. He also served as a member of Patria's Board of Directors from 2018 to 2024. The company implemented an organizational transformation in June 2025 to support its growth and strategic objectives.

"Patria has significant growth potential, and industrialization is central to how we scale our operations while maintaining high quality, safety, and reliable on-time delivery," said President and CEO Panu Routila. "With the introduction of the CEO Office, we are advancing an increasingly ambitious, long-term strategy that supports sustainable growth and strengthens our role as a trusted partner."
