Patria funds Finnish biathlon team's first service truck
The Finnish Biathlon Federation is deploying its first dedicated service truck this season, supported by longtime partner Patria to enhance logistics and ski maintenance efficiency.

For the 2026-2027 season, the Finnish national biathlon team is introducing its first-ever dedicated service truck. The project is backed by Patria, a defense and technology company that has sponsored the federation since 2011. The vehicle is designed to streamline logistics and improve the working conditions of the ski service staff as they navigate the World Cup tour.
Head of Service Marek Sander noted that the new truck eliminates the time-consuming process of packing and unpacking containers at each venue. This shift allows technicians to dedicate more time to preparing athletes' skis in a controlled, mobile environment, which is expected to support overall team competitiveness.
Federation President Jaakko Puurula described the initiative as a practical evolution of the partnership with Patria. Beyond its functional role, the truck will also serve as a mobile communication platform for the team. The vehicle is scheduled to make its debut at the Kontiolahti World Cup in November.
