Patria issues guidelines on sponsorship and donations

Defense solutions provider Patria has clarified its corporate policies on sponsorship and donation activities through newly released guidelines. The centralized approach aims to ensure consistent operational practices and prevent duplication in the company's support endeavours.

Patria views sponsorship as a form of marketing communication designed to support the objectives of both the supported entity and the company. Support is directed towards carefully selected local, national, and international recipients, with the expectation of strengthening customer and partner relationships. The company emphasizes that sponsored targets must align with Patria's business operations and values, adhering to the company's ethical code of conduct.

Requests for national sponsorships are handled centrally by group communications. This department can make independent decisions on domestic sponsorships up to 5,000 euros. International sponsorships require joint selection by both group communications and the relevant business units.

Decisions regarding donations are made by Patria's Board of Management. Additionally, Patria's Board of Directors may allocate up to a total of 20,000 euros annually for donations. These donations should relate to Patria's field of operation, supporting non-profit organizations, industry-specific projects, or general charitable causes. The company explicitly states it does not support political parties or individual political aspirations.
