Patria Opens F-35 Component Production Facility

Patria marked the opening of its new production facility in Jämsä, Finland, on June 13, 2025. The facility, currently under construction, will produce large-scale assembly of F-35 forward fuselages as part of the global F-35 supply chain and represents industrial cooperation for Finland's F-35 fighter program.

The plant is scheduled for completion in autumn 2025. Its operations are expected to significantly enhance Patria's capabilities within the F-35 project and solidify Finland's role in the fighter jet's global supply chain. The facility is projected to create up to 150 jobs after the ramp-up period.

Finnish Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen stated at the opening that the production line's establishment in Finland signifies trust in Finnish expertise. He emphasized the cooperation's importance for Finland's security of supply, national economy, and long-term defense capabilities.

Patria representatives confirmed the project is on schedule. Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-35, described the inauguration as a significant milestone for the Finnish F-35 program, looking forward to continued collaboration with Patria and Finnish industry.
