Patria has entered into a strategic agreement with Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, to facilitate the final assembly of F135 fighter jet engines in Finland. This partnership is a key component of the industrial participation program linked to Finland's acquisition of the F-35 aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement, Patria will establish the capability to assemble, test, and maintain these engines domestically. This development is designed to bolster national security of supply, ensuring that critical technical expertise and engine support infrastructure remain within Finland throughout the lifespan of the F-35 fleet.

The F135 engine powers the global fleet of F-35 aircraft. By localizing these industrial processes, Patria strengthens its role in supporting the operational readiness of the Finnish Air Force, moving engine maintenance and assembly closer to the end-user.
