Patria to Conduct Live Firing Exercises in Lohtaja's Vattajaniemi Area in November
Defense company Patria announced it will conduct live firing exercises with infantry weapons at the Vattajaniemi firing range in Lohtaja from November 2-6, 2026. The area will be restricted during this period.

Defense group Patria has announced plans for live firing exercises using infantry weapons at the Vattajaniemi firing range in Lohtaja, Finland. The exercises are scheduled to take place daily between 08:00 and 17:00 from November 2 to November 6, 2026.
The designated firing range will be fully restricted from November 1 at 12:00 until November 6 at 17:00 to ensure safety during the drills. This restriction applies to the entire area to prevent unauthorized access.
The danger zone extends approximately 12 kilometers in a sector defined by its western boundary west of Lahdenkrooppi and its northwestern boundary from Kalsonnokka. Patria's use of the range is authorized by Metsähallitus, the Finnish Forest Centre.
