Defense solutions provider Patria has signed a contract with Norway's Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for the delivery of PROTECTOR RS4 remote weapon stations. These systems will be integrated into more than 300 Patria 6x6 armored vehicles as part of the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program.

The contract, valued at approximately 140 million euros, includes an additional order for Sweden and further subsystems for vehicles ordered by Germany in December 2025. Vehicle assembly will be conducted in cooperation with Patria's German industrial partners, with deliveries scheduled from 2026 to 2030.

The Finnish-led CAVS program aims to develop and procure a common armored vehicle system for seven member nations: Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and Norway. The program also includes vehicles that have been supplied for use in Ukraine. Patria leads the development of the 6x6 armored vehicle system, drawing on over 40 years of experience in developing and delivering such systems.

Patria has previously secured orders for nearly 2,000 Patria 6x6 vehicles, including options, and has delivered more than 300 units. The program remains open to other countries with similar equipment requirements, provided there is mutual consent among the participating nations.
