Motor Presse Stuttgart has appointed Patrick Hoeveler as the new editor-in-chief of its FLUG REVUE aviation magazine, effective October 1, 2025. Hoeveler, 52, succeeds Karl Schwarz, who has been deputy editor-in-chief since 1998 and is now retiring. Patrick Zwerger, 41, will serve as deputy editorial director.

Hoeveler and Zwerger previously co-led the online editorial team for FLUG REVUE. Their new mandate involves closer integration of the editorial teams for Motor Presse Stuttgart's aviation publications and their digital channels. "We will consistently think within the FLUG REVUE brand moving forward," stated Benjamin Pfalzgraf, Publisher of the Mobility business unit. "Content will be created collaboratively and channel-neutrally to strengthen the brand and optimally reach our target audience across all platforms."

Pfalzgraf thanked Karl Schwarz for his contributions that established FLUG REVUE as a successful special-interest magazine. "Karl Schwarz is a significant figure in aviation journalism. His passion and expertise have set standards and left a lasting impact," Pfalzgraf commented.

The leadership change aims to further consolidate FLUG REVUE's position in the aviation sector by enhancing synergies between its print and digital operations.
