Paulig Opens Moscow Cafe, Relaunches Helsinki Kulma
Paulig has opened a new Paulig Café&Store in central Moscow to bolster its Russian market presence. The company also relaunched its flagship Paulig Kulma cafe in Helsinki with renewed facilities.

Paulig, a food and beverage company known for its coffee products, has expanded its footprint by opening a new Paulig Café&Store in the heart of Moscow. The Moscow cafe, which opened in early August, aims to strengthen Paulig's brand presence and market position in Russia. This move is part of the company's strategy to grow its business in Eastern Europe, where it recorded net sales of EUR 62.6 million in 2019.
The new Moscow establishment follows a similar concept to Paulig's flagship cafe, Paulig Kulma, launched in Helsinki in 2016. Paulig reports it is the second-largest roasted coffee brand in Russia, holding a 16.2% volume share. The company seeks to increase brand awareness and provide consumers with new taste experiences and a pleasant atmosphere.
The Moscow cafe features a dedicated coffee zone, a brew bar, a filter coffee station, and a retail shop offering Paulig's product range. It also houses a Barista Institute intended for coffee professionals to learn about emerging trends. The menu includes Scandinavian dishes and offers options for vegetarians and those with dietary preferences for healthy living. The cafe's design incorporates eco-friendly materials, and all coffee served is 100% sustainably sourced.
Concurrently, Paulig has refurbished its Paulig Kulma cafe in Helsinki, underscoring its commitment to fostering coffee culture both domestically and internationally. These initiatives reflect Paulig's dedication to delivering quality coffee experiences and reinforcing its connection with coffee enthusiasts.
