PDS Optical Surveys Veterans on Digital Screen Effects on Vision
PDS Optical has launched a national survey to understand how digital screens impact the vision health of U.S. veterans. The initiative aims to identify needs for specialized vision care solutions.

PDS Optical has initiated the "Pulse on Digital Strain Survey," a national research effort to gather data on the potential effects of digital screen use on the vision health of U.S. veterans. This initiative specifically targets the veteran community to better understand their vision challenges amid the rise of digital technology.
PDS Optical, which manages approximately 80 percent of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) prescription eyewear market, aims to identify and develop tailored vision care solutions based on the survey’s findings. The research seeks to establish a clear understanding of veteran screen consumption habits and their potential correlation with eye strain, fatigue, or vision changes, areas with limited public research.
"We are calling on all veterans to participate in this five-minute survey," said PDS Optical CEO Sean Loosen. "Veterans' daily screen habits and vision health are critical data points. This survey will help us better understand their needs and develop eyewear solutions designed to serve their unique lifestyles."
Veterans of any age, branch, or era of service can participate in the brief, confidential online survey. PDS Optical, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business committed to providing high-quality prescription eyewear to the nation's veterans.
