Peacock raises prices by up to 25% after reaching profitability
NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock has announced another price increase, its fourth in four years. The new rates, effective September 22, 2024, will see monthly costs rise by 18% to 25%.

Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal, is raising its monthly and annual subscription prices for the fourth time since its launch. The price adjustments are scheduled to take effect on September 22, 2024.
The Select plan, which includes advertisements but excludes sports, movies, and original content, will increase from $8 to $9 per month. The Premium tier, offering a broader selection of content with ads, will rise from $11 to $13 per month. The ad-free Premium Plus tier will see the largest jump, from $17 to $20 per month.
These price hikes follow Peacock's announcement of reaching profitability in the first quarter of 2024, reporting 31 million subscribers at the time. NBCUniversal stated that the increases reflect the service's expanding content library and ongoing investments. The previous price adjustment occurred in July 2025.
Launched in 2020, Peacock's pricing changes will also affect its annual subscription options, which typically offer two months free compared to the monthly rate.
