Peak XV Partners Selects 18 Startups for Surge 12 Cohort
Venture capital firm Peak XV Partners has announced its 12th cohort for the Surge seed-stage program, featuring 18 early-stage companies across various technology sectors.
Peak XV Partners, a venture capital firm focused on India and Southeast Asia, has selected 18 startups for the 12th cohort of its seed-stage program, Surge. The announcement was made on September 29.
The cohort includes companies operating in artificial intelligence, robotics, space technology, consumer products, healthcare, music, and fintech. Examples of selected ventures are those developing autonomous clinical intelligence for primary care, AI evaluation and red-teaming software, and autonomous satellite systems for radio-frequency sensing.
Three companies within the cohort are currently in stealth mode, meaning their operations are not publicly disclosed. These ventures are in the education, applied AI, and medical products sectors. Peak XV Partners has not provided further details on these specific entities.
The founders participating in Surge 12 include a former Google director who led AI and machine learning teams, and Airbnb's first female engineer. The group also features founding engineers from Sarvam AI and a former professional baseball player, bringing diverse expertise to the startup ecosystem.
