Venture capital firm Peak XV Partners has sold 9.17 crore shares of Indian fintech company Groww in a bulk deal. The transaction amounted to ₹1,756.2 crore, representing nearly 1.5% of Groww's equity.

Venture capital firm Peak XV Partners has divested a significant portion of its stake in Indian fintech major Groww, selling 9.17 crore shares in a bulk transaction. The sale generated ₹1,756.2 crore for Peak XV, with the shares sold accounting for approximately 1.5% of Groww's total equity.
The shares were reportedly sold at ₹191.49 apiece, a price point roughly 1% higher than Groww's closing price on the day of the transaction. The identities of the buyers in this large deal have not yet been disclosed. Peak XV Partners remains Groww's largest institutional shareholder.
This sale follows a trend of major investors reducing their holdings in Groww. In recent months, firms like Ribbit Capital and Y Combinator have also offloaded substantial stakes. Groww's stock has seen a notable increase of nearly 35% year-to-date.
Groww has reported strong financial performance, with its consolidated net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 soaring by 94.3% to ₹735 crore. Revenue from operations also saw a significant jump of 66%, reaching ₹1,501.4 crore during the same period.
Despite the strong fundamentals and recent stock gains, Groww's share price experienced fluctuations in the past few weeks, influenced by multiple large block deals. The stock closed nearly 4% lower on the trading day.
