Penetron Admix Protects Foundations in New Slovak Residential Development

The foundations of the recently completed Pod Zeleným Dvorom residential development in Budimír, near Košice, Slovakia, have been treated with Penetron Admix to protect against moisture. The project encompasses modern family houses and apartments.
Penetron Admix is a crystalline waterproofing admixture that is added to concrete. It reacts with water and cement hydration byproducts to form insoluble crystals. These crystals fill the pores and capillaries within the concrete, preventing the ingress of water and other harmful substances.
The application of the admixture in the foundations aims to ensure the longevity of the structures and reduce the need for future repairs. It is particularly suitable for applications where structures are exposed to constant moisture or ground pressure.
The primary goal of the project was to guarantee the structural integrity and protect the buildings from the moisture conditions prevalent in Slovakia. The use of the admixture provides a solution that safeguards the foundations throughout the entire lifecycle of the buildings.
