Penetron Technology Used in Saudi Arabia Hotel Construction
Mysk Al Wadi Jeddah Hotel in Saudi Arabia utilizes Penetron's waterproofing admixture for concrete to protect against groundwater and saltwater exposure.

The Mysk Al Wadi Jeddah Hotel, set to open in September 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has incorporated Penetron's concrete waterproofing technology into its construction. The four-star hotel is located in the Obhur district near the Red Sea.
To address the challenges of high groundwater levels and the corrosive Red Sea environment, the project's general contractor, Faraj Abdulkarim Est, specified Penetron Admix for all below-grade concrete structures. Over 2,000 cubic meters of concrete used for the hotel's foundation, retaining walls, parking floors, and water-retaining structures, including drinking water tanks and the swimming pool, received the admixture.
Penetron Admix is described as a crystalline waterproofing admixture that reacts with moisture in concrete to form a non-soluble crystalline network. This network reportedly seals the concrete permanently against water penetration. Swellable waterstop strips, PENEBAR SW-45A, were also used to seal construction joints.
The Penetron Group manufactures specialty construction products for concrete waterproofing and repair. The company operates internationally, providing support through a network of regional offices and distributors.
