Penske Teamsters Ratify New Regional Agreements
Over 250 Penske employees have ratified new four-year contracts covering multiple states. The agreements include wage increases and enhanced benefits.
Members of the Teamsters union have voted to ratify new four-year contracts with Penske Truck Leasing, covering employees in the Southcentral and Southeastern regions of the United States. The agreements, ratified on July 23, 2026, introduce significant financial and benefit improvements.
The newly ratified contracts include a 15 percent general wage increase over the contract term. Additionally, employer contributions to Teamsters' 401(k) retirement plans will increase. Employees will see no rise in healthcare costs for the first two and a half years of the agreement, and will gain an additional paid holiday.
Rocco Calo, Director of the Teamsters Industrial Trades Division, stated that the contract recognizes the contributions of Teamsters at Penske and aims to encourage further unionization. While the main regional agreements were ratified, Local 618 in Missouri rejected their supplemental agreement and will return to negotiations in August.
These agreements apply to Penske workers in Florida, Georgia, and Missouri, building on previously ratified contracts. Union steward Chad Patton highlighted the contract's success in securing regular pay increases and maintaining affordable health insurance for the next four years.
