Pentair plc Securities Fraud Lawsuit Class Period Expanded
Law firm Hagens Berman has expanded a securities fraud class action lawsuit against Pentair plc, alleging the company made false and misleading statements regarding its financial health.

Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP has notified investors in Pentair plc (NYSE: PNR) that a securities fraud class action lawsuit filed against the company has been expanded to cover an earlier class period. The lawsuit alleges that Pentair and certain executives made materially false and misleading statements and omitted critical adverse operational information.
The complaint claims that beginning March 11, 2025, Pentair allegedly engaged in unsustainable channel-loading and sales practices to artificially inflate short-term financial metrics. Specifically, the lawsuit asserts that the company failed to disclose severe, undisclosed channel inventory destocking, particularly within its core Pool segment.
The alleged artificial inflation of Pentair shares ended abruptly on July 14, 2026, after the market close. Pentair pre-announced preliminary second-quarter 2026 financial results that fell substantially below consensus estimates, revealing massive revenue misses and slashing full-year guidance. The company also announced the immediate departure of its Chief Financial Officer.
Following these disclosures, Pentair's stock price plummeted 15% in a single session. Hagens Berman stated it is closely examining the timing of these disclosures, the CFO's departure, and the impact of channel destocking on the company's financial health. Investors who purchased Pentair common stock between March 11, 2025, and July 14, 2026, and suffered significant losses, have until October 2, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff.
