Pepsi National Battle of the Bands Names Dallas as New Host City

The Pepsi National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB), a premier showcase of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) marching band talent and culture, has announced Dallas, Texas, as its new host city. Beginning in 2027, the annual event will take place during the weekend of August 27 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, bringing the competition to the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

For over a decade, NBOTB has united top HBCU marching bands with enthusiastic fans, alumni, and students, fostering a cultural experience centered on excellence, pride, and tradition. This relocation signifies a new chapter for the event, expanding its reach within a rapidly growing and culturally vibrant area.

"This move and partnership represent the next chapter for the Pepsi National Battle of the Bands," stated Derek Webber, Executive Producer and Creator of the event. "Dallas provides an incredible opportunity to expand the experience, strengthen community engagement, and continue elevating HBCU culture and excellence on a national stage." Monica Paul, Executive Director of the Dallas Sports Commission, welcomed the event, highlighting its significance in celebrating culture, community, and education.

The Dallas event aims to continue NBOTB's legacy of high-energy performances, immersive fan experiences, and community engagement. The move is also expected to boost tourism and economic impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Further details regarding participating bands, event schedules, and ticketing will be announced in the coming months.
