Perelel Reaches $100 Million Run Rate by Expanding Beyond Prenatal Vitamins

Perelel, a health supplement company that began with prenatal vitamins in 2020, has announced it achieved a $100 million run rate for 2026. CEO and co-founder Victoria Thain Gioia stated that the company's vision, reflected in its name 'Perelel' (pronounced parallel), was always to support women's health needs across their entire life cycle, not solely during motherhood.

The company's growth has been significantly boosted by its expansion into products beyond pregnancy support, including supplement powders and plant-based proteins. These additions have created new entry points for customers who may not have previously considered Perelel. Protein powders now account for 15 percent of the business, with half of protein customers being new to the brand.

Perelel's product development is guided by customer feedback, clinical research, and recommendations from co-founder Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, an OB-GYN. The company prioritizes scientifically backed offerings over fleeting wellness trends, notably avoiding the development of gummy vitamins. The Synbiotic Greens powder, for instance, was created in response to customer inquiries about safe supplements to pair with prenatal vitamins.

Despite early skepticism from investors about the market for women's health startups, Perelel has secured $40 million in funding to date. This includes a $27 million investment from Prelude Growth Partners in 2025, which provided substantial returns for early angel investors. The company is set to achieve two years of profitability by December 2026.
