Pernod Ricard completes sale of Domecq spirits and wine business
Pernod Ricard has finalized the 81 million euro sale of its Domecq brandy and wine assets to the Bodega Las Copas joint venture.
Pernod Ricard has completed the disposal of its Domecq brandy and wine operations to Bodega Las Copas, a joint venture between the Emperador Group and González Byass. The transaction, valued at 81 million euros, was finalized through Pernod Ricard’s subsidiaries in Mexico and Spain.
The divestment aligns with the company’s broader strategy to streamline its wine and spirits portfolio. By shedding non-core assets, the group aims to focus on its primary international brands and improve capital allocation.
This sale follows several similar initiatives by the company, including the disposal of various sparkling wine operations in the United States, as the group continues to reorganize its global production and brand footprint.
