Pernod Ricard's French subsidiary, Ricard SAS, has donated 70,000 liters of pure alcohol to Laboratoire Cooper to help address the shortage of hand sanitizer. Cooper is a leading French manufacturer of everyday health products and the primary supplier of hand sanitizer to pharmacies.

This donation will enable Cooper to increase its deliveries of hand sanitizer to pharmacies, equivalent to approximately 1.8 million individual 50ml bottles. This initiative is part of Pernod Ricard's global efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. Other group subsidiaries in Sweden, the United States, Spain, and Ireland have also launched similar campaigns, including donating alcohol stocks or producing hand sanitizer at their own production sites.

Pernod Ricard Chairman and CEO Alexandre Ricard emphasized the role of companies during the crisis. "As the world faces a major pandemic, companies must mobilize to ensure the safety of their employees and contribute to collective efforts within their capacities," he stated. Laboratoire Cooper CEO Sébastien Lucot thanked Ricard for the partnership, noting that they have already quintupled their production capacity in one month to meet demand.

The collaboration between Ricard and Cooper aims to ensure the availability of hand sanitizer in French pharmacies during the health crisis. Laboratoire Cooper has committed to donating an equivalent amount to health-related associations.
