Pernod Ricard has released Absolut TABASCO, a vodka infused with the fermented red pepper mash used in Tabasco sauce. The product represents a strategic collaboration between the two long-standing brands, focusing on a flavour profile designed for cocktail mixing.
The launch responds to shifting consumer tastes, as demand for spicy spirits continues to gain momentum. Industry forecasts suggest that the spicy vodka category is projected to grow by 27 percent by 2029, as drinkers increasingly seek bolder flavour additions to classic cocktails like the Bloody Mary.
To support the product rollout, the company is hosting promotional events in Sydney, aligning with its history of engaging with nightlife and the LGBTQIA+ community. The product is currently available for purchase nationwide.
