Pernod Ricard Launches Global Digital Labeling System
Pernod Ricard is rolling out a global digital labeling system to provide consumers with detailed product and responsible consumption information. A pilot phase will commence in Europe in July 2022.

Pernod Ricard, the world's second-largest wine and spirits company, has announced the global launch of a digital labeling initiative. This system will provide consumers with enhanced information regarding product content and responsible consumption practices.
The initiative will feature a QR code on product labels, directing consumers to a platform with details on ingredients, nutritional information, and guidance on the risks associated with alcohol consumption. It will also include country-specific recommendations for responsible drinking.
A pilot program is set to begin in Europe in July 2022. The company plans to extend this system to all its brands worldwide by 2024, aiming to increase transparency and address consumer demand for more product information.
Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, stated that the digital label responds to evolving consumer needs and leverages digital technology for easy access to information. He expressed pride in Pernod Ricard's pioneering role within the industry by proactively launching this initiative.
