Pernod Ricard: Third Quarter Sales Improve, Full-Year Outlook Lowered
Pernod Ricard reported a sequential improvement in organic net sales for its third quarter, though overall sales for the fiscal year are now expected to decline. The company cited global volatility for the revised outlook.

Pernod Ricard announced its third-quarter results, revealing that organic net sales saw a slight increase of 0.1%. This performance was in line with company expectations and showed an improvement compared to the first half of the fiscal year. Volumes for the group's strategic international brands grew by 3% during the quarter.
However, the spirits giant cautioned that ongoing global volatility and uncertainty, particularly due to the conflict in the Middle East, would impact its full-year performance. Consequently, Pernod Ricard now anticipates a decline of 3% to 4% in organic net sales for the entire fiscal year, a revision from its previous forecast.
Regionally, the Americas and China experienced significant contractions in the third quarter, with sales falling 12% and 7% respectively. Excluding these markets, the rest of the world demonstrated strong growth, with organic net sales up 5%, driven by emerging markets and several mature markets.
The company highlighted its efforts to adapt to evolving consumer trends. Strategies include addressing affordability through pricing and smaller formats, enhancing consumer experiences via activations like music festivals, and expanding offerings in ready-to-drink (RTD) and no/low-alcohol categories.
