Pernod Ricard to exit Russian market
French spirits producer Pernod Ricard has initiated a full withdrawal from Russia. The company ceased exports of its international brands at the end of April 2023.
Pernod Ricard has confirmed it is winding down its presence in Russia, beginning with the total cessation of international brand exports in late April 2023. The group is now transitioning toward a complete exit from the Russian market, a process it anticipates will take several months to finalize.
The company is currently reviewing the structural adjustment of its local Russian operations to ensure compliance with all applicable legal regulations. Management noted that it remains committed to supporting local staff as the organization prepares to withdraw from the country.
This decision follows a trend of multinational firms pulling back from Russia amid ongoing international sanctions and the conflict in Ukraine. The company’s move effectively ends its direct commercial ties to the region.
