Pernod Ricard and Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits have signed a definitive agreement for the sale of Pernod Ricard's U.S. sparkling wine operations, encompassing the Mumm Napa brand and related assets. The transaction is expected to close in Spring 2026, subject to customary conditions.

The agreement grants Trinchero the exclusive rights to manufacture, market, and distribute Mumm sparkling wines (excluding champagne) within the United States, Canada, Mexico, and select Caribbean markets. Trinchero will also assume ownership of the Mumm Napa destination winery and its production facilities located in Rutherford, Napa Valley.

Pernod Ricard stated that this divestiture aligns with its strategy to concentrate resources on its portfolio of international premium spirits and champagne brands. The company views this move as part of its ongoing portfolio management to enhance shareholder value.

Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits, a family-owned company with over 75 years of history in Napa Valley, positions the acquisition as a significant expansion into a high-potential category. This move is expected to accelerate growth and strengthen Trinchero's standing as a leading U.S. wine supplier.
